Mia Moura made her debut as a Fado singer in 2017, as a contestant on “Gaia é Fado” – a contest that she ended up winning the following year. In 2018 she also won the “Amateur Fado Competition of Lordelo do Ouro and Massarelos” and has become a frequent presence in Fado houses, restaurants and hotels in and outside of Porto ever since. She’s recently released her first album, “Mia Moura”.
In spite of her early passion for music, it was only in 2007 that Mia Moura, born in Vila Nova de Gaia, made her debut in the Fado world as a contestant on “Gaia é Fado” from “O Gaiense” newspaper. She’s been pathing her way as a Fado singer ever since and, last year, ended up achieving first place in the same contest.
In May 2018 she also won one of the most emblematic Fado contests in Porto, the “Amateur Fado Competition of Lordelo do Ouro and Massarelos”.
Meanwhile, she became a frequent presence in several shows in and outside of Porto, performing in Fado houses, restaurants and hotels. She’s recently released her first album, “Mia Moura”.
